About Tahara Reminders
We built Tahara Reminders to help Jewish women observe Taharat HaMishpacha with accuracy, privacy, and peace of mind — using any phone, including kosher phones with no internet required.
Our Mission
Tahara Reminders was founded with one goal: to make Taharat HaMishpacha (Jewish family purity) observance easier, more accurate, and completely private. We recognized that many women — especially those with irregular cycles, those new to observance, or those without smartphone access — struggle to track vest days, bedikah dates, and the full tahara calendar reliably.
Our automated phone and SMS service acts as your personal luach tahara (tahara calendar), sending gentle reminders at exactly the right halachic moments — so you never have to check a calendar or do the calculations yourself.
Halachic Standards
Every vest day reminder delivered by Tahara Reminders is based on established halachic calculation methods. Our system calculates all three required vest types:
- Onah Beinonis — the 30th and 31st day from the period start
- Yom HaChodesh — the same Hebrew calendar date as the period began
- Haflagah — the interval-based vest day calculated from cycle history
Bedikah reminders are sent each morning and evening during the seven clean days. Hefsek Taharah and mikvah preparation reminders are included automatically.
Our halachic calculations have been reviewed for accuracy. Users should always consult their own rabbi or posek for any specific halachic questions regarding their personal observance.
Our Commitment to Privacy
We understand the deeply personal nature of Taharat HaMishpacha. Every piece of data in our system — your cycle dates, reminder preferences, and contact information — is encrypted and protected by your personal 4-digit PIN. We will never sell, share, or disclose your information to any third party. Your data is yours alone.
The service is designed so that even the reminders themselves are discreet — a gentle call or text that only you understand the meaning of.
Who We Serve
Tahara Reminders serves women across the observant Jewish community, including Orthodox, Yeshivish, Chassidish, and Modern Orthodox communities. The service is particularly valuable for:

- Women returning to observance after pregnancy or illness
- Women with irregular cycles who need adaptive halachic cycle tracking
- Women using kosher phones without internet or app access
- Anyone who wants a reliable, private vest day reminder and bedikah reminder without managing it manually
