- ZIP code — to calculate accurate local sunset times (shkiah) for reminder timing
- Cycle dates — the dates you report as the start of your period, used to calculate vest days and bedikah reminders
- Reminder preferences — your preferred reminder times and delivery method (SMS, voice call, or both)
- Language preference — English or Hebrew
- Payment information — processed securely by Twilio; we do not store your full payment details
Your information is used solely for the purposes of delivering services, managing your account, and communicating with you about your scheduled reminders. We will never sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal information or cycle data to any third party for any purpose.
Mobile Information and Text Messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.
SMS Communications and Opt-Out
By providing your phone number and registering through our sign-up line, you consent to receive SMS reminder messages from Tahara Reminders regarding the halachic dates and reminders you have subscribed to receive.
- Program Description: Tahara Reminders sends scheduled SMS and voice call reminders for vest days, bedikah, Hefsek Taharah, and mikvah preparation. Messages are only sent to registered subscribers who have explicitly opted in.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your halachic cycle. You control your reminder preferences and can update them at any time via phone.
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider for details about your plan.
- Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- Opt-In Keywords: To re-subscribe after opting out, reply START or call our sign-up line.
- Help: Reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@taharareminders.com or 929-222-6118.
- No Condition of Purchase: Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchase or use of our services.
- Third Parties: SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Carriers and Messaging
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do our best to ensure timely delivery of SMS messages but cannot guarantee that messages will be received in a timely manner. Message and data rates may apply. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
Data Security
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access to your account is protected by your personal 4-digit PIN. Without your PIN, no one — including Tahara Reminders staff — can access your cycle data or account details. Our infrastructure uses industry-standard security practices including encrypted database storage and secure API communications.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We will keep your personal information only as long as we need it to provide the services you have signed up for. If you cancel your subscription and request data deletion, we will delete all your personal data and cycle history from our systems within 30 days. Data Collection of Minors
We do not collect, sell, share, or disclose the personal information of minors under 16 years of age.
Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
